Croatia issued a 20 Kuna Banknote to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Its National Currency, the Kuna
The Croatian National Bank issued a 20 Kuna note on May 30, 2014 to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the introduction of its National currency, the kuna. The bank also made available folders including this and the 10 kuna note they issued 10 years ago to commemorate the 10th Anniverary.
The note is similar to the regular issue but with DVADESETA OBLJETNICA HRVATSKOGA NOVCA KUNE I LIPE 2014 (Twentieth anniversary of the Croatian currency Kuna and Lipa 2014) on the left side of the banknote, at the position of the watermark, microprinted 34 times in continuous vertical lines, creating a rectangle with some letters and numbers bolded to form number "20" and the inscription "OBLJETNICA" printed in iridescent color in three lines over the rectangular base.
Royal Bank of Scotland 5 Pounds Ryder Cup Commemorative Polymer Banknote
The Royal Bank of Scotland has unveiled the design of a special edition Ryder Cup £5 polymer bank note.
The Ryder Cup, which is held every two years, has become one of the world's most famous sporting events and attracts a global audience.
The commemorative bank note, which can be used as normal currency anywhere in the UK, will be available to ticket-holders of the golf tournament which takes place at Gleneagles in Perthshire in September.
The memento will be on sale online as part of official Ryder Cup commemorative packages, which cost £20.
The notes will not be in general circulation, however they will be legal currency.
