Malaysia launched commemorative banknotes to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Signing of the Federation of Malaysia Independence Agreement

 

Malaysia launched commemorative banknotes to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Signing of the Federation of Malaysia Independence Agreement.

The specifications of the commemorative banknotes are as follows:

1. Single RM600 Banknote
This large-sized banknote has a face value of RM600 and will be sold at RM1,700 a piece. The printed quantity is 6,000 pieces.
The size of the banknote, measuring 370 x 220 mm, is now the largest banknote of the world. It surpassed the previous world record holder, Philippines 100,000 Piso 1998 which measures at 330 x 220 mm.

2. Uncut 3-in-1 RM60 Banknote
This uncut banknote has a face value of RM180 and will be sold at RM500 a piece. The printed quantity is 6,000 pieces.

3. Single RM60 Banknote This single banknote has a face value of RM60 and will be sold at RM120 a piece. The printed quantity is 60,000 pieces.
